Compac Terrazzo – High Performance Stone (HPS)
COMPAC, the Spanish company specialising in the manufacture and distribution of quartz surfaces, has launched a revolutionary new material: Terrazzo High Performance Stone (HPS).
This new material has been developed to increase the performance of traditional surfaces by improving its resistance to external aggression, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor surfaces.
Terrazzo HPS is an all-terrain material that can be used for a variety of applications, such as outdoor flooring, countertops, indoor floors, walls, kitchens, baths, furniture, heavy traffic areas such as airports, hotels, office buildings, schools, shopping malls, and facades. The material is available in different finishes, each adapted to the specific application.
COMPAC's R&D team has developed a new formula that makes Terrazzo HPS a clean and hygienic product that is virtually impervious to water and other liquids, making it easy to clean and maintain. It is suitable for use in cooking areas, health clinics, and children's rooms.
The new material has been reinvented to expand its possibilities in all kinds of applications.
COMPAC's philosophy of respect for the environment is also reflected in the production process, with all materials and designs in the COMPAC portfolio produced in a sustainable way, using 100% renewable electric energy and reusing more than 98% of the water in the production process. In 2020, the company launched its 100% recycled and recyclable material, Obsidiana COMPAC, which has transformed the market with the creation of a sustainable surface produced with 100% recycled glass as raw material. Obsidiana COMPAC obtained the Cradle to Cradle Bronze™ certificate that recognises sustainability throughout the manufacturing process under rigorous criteria and has been honoured with several awards, including the FX International Interior Design 2021 and the NKBA's Best of Sustainability Awards in 2020.
