Cloudburst Concrete Caesarstone

Subtle. Sophisticated. Cloudburst Concrete, with its white on white, tonal cloud like patina, delivers a truly unique look. With its “Rough” low reflective matt surface, the design works alongside light and dark timbers, stainless steel, concrete surfaces (including Rugged Concrete) providing wide design flexibility, from industrial loft to Scandinavian through to minimal contemporary aesthetic.

Cloudburst Concrete samples are only indicative of a part of a slab, and we strongly encourage viewing displays to appreciate first-hand the nature of this high movement design. For any bench top greater than 20mm thick we recommend selecting mitred aprons to achieve the best surface-to-edge pattern continuity.

Daily care and maintenance of Cloudburst Concrete is similar to other Caesarstone surfaces, however the ‘Rough’ low reflective matt surface finish is more susceptible to showing everyday marks and spills meaning more regular cleaning maybe required.

It is non-porous, resistant to heat, scratches, stains and bacteria, and can be cleaned with regular detergents. Suitable for any worktop project.

Colour Band: 4

Caesarstone is a Quartz Worktop. Containing natural quartz minerals, Caesarstone surfaces combine practicality with stunning design. Caesarstone surfaces meet exacting standards of excellence from the initial procurement of raw materials to the final quality control check. Highly skilled and trained staff ensure the quality of a product that is unrivaled in the industry today.

Joints
All joints are finished with a small ariss to the top edge and are carefully sealed with silicone to allow for expansion and to prevent water seeping through or bacteria growing in cavities.

Tolerance in quartz worktops is ±2mm

Heavily Veined / Particulated Colours
These colours are highly unlikely to have contineous flow of the pattern when 2 sheets or 2 pieces of the same sheet are seamed together. The change of pattern will show up on the seam area

Thermal Expansion
Due to thermal expansion Quartz can expand up to 1mm per meter

Overhangs & Support
Any overhang extending more than 300mm should be supported and carcasses should be 600mm spacing
Due to the weight of quartz worktops, it is essential that your units are level and securely fixed.

Cutouts for Hobs, Sinks, etc
Sink cutouts are placed a minimum 50mm from the worktop front edge
A minimum of 120mm is required between two hob cut outs.
A minimum of 100mm is required between hob and sink cut outs.
A minimum of 70mm is required between two sink cut outs.
If a waste disposal unit is fitted to an undermounted sink after installation, additional support will be required, otherwise your warranty may be invalidated.

Stainless Steel Sinks
Carefully select your preferred method of undermounting stainless steel sinks to ensure sufficient support.
When the plumbing is done to the sink, it is important that the plumber reseals it with silicone, otherwise water may seep through the gap and your warranty may be invalidated

Upstands
Upstands less than 100mm high are extremely fragile and are not recommended.
Upstands are not normally cut from the same slab as the worksurfaces and therefore an exact colour match is not possible.
Because quartz upstands are straight and rigid, gaps will be visible if there are any imperfections or variations on the wall profile. To cover these gaps between the wall and the upstands, it is recommended that plastering or tiling be completed after the worktop installation.

Care and Maintenance
Bluestone offer a Care and Maintenance Kit which has been developed to offer the customer everything they need to keep their worktops looking good for years to come

Scratches
Quartz worktops are not scratch proof, the use of chopping boards is recommended. Dark, heavily pigmented colours will show scratches, wear and tear more easily.

Hygienic
Quartz worktops are naturally hygienic as it is non-porous and do not harbour germs
