Neolith Pulpis
Neolith Pulpis
Inspired by the native material found in the province of Castellón (specifically, the Santa Magdalena quarries), Neolith Pulpis is known for its tobacco brown tone and subtle white and golden veins lining the slabs. A model that transmits power, sobriety and elegance with contrast and a play of shades and volumes in combination with other architectural elements of lighter tones.
Family: Classtone
Finish: Silk
Sheet Thicknesses Available: 12mm
Sensitive Colour: No
Neolith is an Ultra Compact surface that uses Sintering Technology, giving Neolith physical and mechanical features which are unprecedented in the construction industry. Neolith possess many extraordinary properties, such as: it’s high resistance to heat, scratches, stains and Ultra Violet rays. Having zero porosity, Neolith is impermeable, which makes it easy to clean and hygienic.
Joints
Neolith worktop joints are finished with a small ariss to the top edge. Silicone sealant is applied to prevent water ingression.
Heavily Veined / Particulated Colours
These colours are highly unlikely to have contineous flow of the pattern when 2 sheets or 2 pieces of the same sheet are seamed together. The change of pattern will show up on the seam area
Thermal expansion
Due to thermal expansion Neolith can expand up to 1mm per metre.
Overhangs and supports
Any overhang extending more than 300mm must be supported.
Upstands
Upstands less than 100mm high are extremely fragile and are not recommended.
Upstands are not normally cut from the same slab as the worksurfaces and therefore an exact colour match is not possible.
Handling
Extra labour will be required on any worktops over 120kg. This will be supplied at no cost to bluestone-uk.com
If you choose a polished finish they will be more easy to wipe down when compared to natural finishes which hold dirt more due to the surface texture.
This means Natural Finishes take a little longer to clean than Polished but if you use cleaning information in our Cleaning and Maintenance for Ultra Compact Surfaces Guide (link below) you will be able to remove the most stubborn stains.
However Natural Finishes are more resilient to scratching than polished if objects are dragged across the worktops (which should be avoided).
The best advice is to wipe up spillages when they happen and dry the worktop off with a tea towel,

Scratches
Ultra Compacts are highly scratch resistant but not scratch proof.
Staining
Ultra Compact worktops are incredibly hard and non-porous and will not absorb liquids, but it is still possible that grease, wine, coffee, nicotine, fruit juices and other strongly coloured substances can stain the surface if not properly protected or if the spills are not cleaned up immediately.
Hygienic
Polished Ultra Compact worktops are naturally hygienic as they are non-porous
Handling
For installation of worktops weighing above 120kg, you will need to supply additional labour at no cost to Worktops.net, every additional 75kg requires an extra person to assist with lifting.
Key Features
UV Resistant
Neolith is highly resistant to ultra violet (UV) light and will not fade or degrade over time making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor applications
Durable
Neolith is one of the most durable worktops, with over 5 times the flexural strength of granite, Neolith has a high level of resistance to external aggressions
Heat Resistant
Neolith is heat resistant, so no need to worry about those hot pots and pans when you are cooking
Non-Porous
Bacteria and mould have nowhere to take root. When it looks clean, it really is clean
Easy to Clean
With a non-porous surface that prevents dirt and stains from penetrating the material. Most marks and stains stay on the surface and can easily be removed
